Research carried out at NCROMA - Interest Group in Navigation and
Control of Autonomous Mobile Robots - is a multidisciplinar endeavour,
involving knowledge from fields such as computational vison, sensor integration,
software engineering and adaptive systems.Aditionally, it incorporates practical
and theoretical aspects, among which we can mention:
Theoretical aspects
| Decelopment of learning control algorithms, aiming at
computational complexity reduction and performance enhancement in realistic
tasks involving mobile robots. |
| Investigation of sensor integration techniques based on
optimal filtering. |
Practical aspects
| Comparison of learning-base control techniques. |
| Implementation fo real-time algorithms for image processing. |
| Implementation of real-time algorithms for sensor
integration and performance evaluation. |
| Implementation of real-time algorithms for learning control
and experimental evaluation of performance. |
| Development and evaluation of versatile, integrated
software-based environments for experiments in navegation and control of
autonomous mobile robots. |
